About Stockport Vikings FC
One of the leading junior football clubs in the North West, Stockport Vikings FC offer high-quality coaching for young people aged 7 to 18, as well as a development section for 5 and 6-year-olds, and open-age male and female teams. In total, they have the largest number of players in the region. The club provides a positive learning environment for children of all abilities to develop their football and social skills, encouraging teamwork and promoting health and exercise – while they enjoy themselves and have lots of fun.
Girls’ football has historically been underrepresented and underfunded in comparison to boys’ football across the UK. Yet recent years have seen a rapid growth in popularity, with many grassroots clubs, like the Stockport Vikings, providing young women the opportunity to develop and hone their skills.
The Pumas, Stockport Vikings dedicated U11 girls’ team, was launched in 2020 and My Sliding Wardrobe is delighted and proud to sponsor this fantastic group of girls – winners of the 2025 SMGFL Hemp Spring Cup after an entirely undefeated season – in support of their continued progress and success. We believe in providing opportunities for young athletes to thrive both on and off the field and are incredibly honoured to support the people who make up this excellent grassroots football club.
