We recognise the incredible work the National Autistic Society does to support individuals with autism and we are eager to join hands with our customers to make a meaningful impact together. By giving our customers the chance to contribute and by quadrupling any donations made by our customers, we hope to raise awareness, funds and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals with autism and their families.

 

Aaron Cooke, Founder of My Sliding Wardrobe, explains the personal significance of this partnership;

We are a family business and just like almost every other family in the UK, we know someone who lives with autism and in our case, it is our two sons who are both autistic.

The National Autistic Society is a charity with whom our family shares a deep and personal history as they have provided us with advice and support right from the initial delays in our sons’ speech through the official diagnosis procedure and the challenging application processes for education support and this is why they occupy a special place in our hearts.

The National Autistic Society has been an invaluable source of advice and support for our family over many years. That is why we are proud and honoured to support them as our charity of the year and hope to raise thousands of pounds for this amazing organisation and cause.

We have recently launched our new three-year ‘Vision to Reality’ strategy, which defines the unique role the National Autistic Society will play in creating a society that works for autistic people. It will focus on support for all autistic individuals and their families to live a fulfilled life on their terms, to influence and collaborate with others to improve standards and adjustments and to transform society by building understanding, acceptance and respect for all autistic people.

As part of My Sliding Wardrobe’s commitment to the National Autistic Society, we have introduced a new initiative that allows our customers to make a difference with every purchase by enabling them to make an optional order top-up donation. Starting in February 2024, each customer will have the opportunity to donate to the National Autistic Society at the checkout when they purchase one of our sliding wardrobes and that’s not all, as part of our commitment to this partnership, My Sliding Wardrobe pledges to contribute at least £3 for every £1 raised through our customer donations, essentially quadrupling the impact of each individual’s contribution to this fantastic cause.
